It's Fall in the Rio Grande Valley! So you know what that means...Ab-so-lute-ly NOTHING! Fall in the RGV is just like any other season here, hot, humid and unpredictable. Our cold fronts are few and far between. Jackets and the "boots with the fur" get brought out for anything under 80 degrees.
Even though Fall here doesn't necessarily mean changing leaves and colder weather. I still love it! Halloween is my favorite Holiday and it just puts me in a great mood. That may sound weird to some, but it's true!
Every year, I try and change up my fall sessions and this year I decided to use Maddie's Pumpkin Patch as my backdrop. This is the cutest Pumpkin Patch in McAllen, Texas! If you haven't been here, you need to check it out. They have hay rides, trails, ponies, goats, pot-bellied pigs, snacks and of course a great pumpkin patch.
The day of this session it had rained off and on in the morning. The Allison Family and I had been in contact throughout the day and we decided to brave the weather and make it work. They met me there at around 6pm and despite it still being overcast the light was soft and beautiful. They are the sweetest family and made my job so easy. I am so grateful when clients are willing to do things that may take them out of their comfort zone or seem a bit out of the ordinary and trust me in capturing special moments for them. We walked the trails, played around, had a race and got some really great photos. I hope they look back on this session and remember what a fun time we had.
